We are pleased to announce the first Canadian Workshop on Nuclear and Astrophysics of Stars in Canada. In this workshop we wish to bring together Canadian experimental nuclear astrophysicists, theoretical astrophysicists involved in stellar modeling, and observers interested in stellar evolution and elemental abundances. The workshop will be held at the TRIUMF laboratory in Vancouver on December 9th and 10th, 2010.

The purpose of this workshop is to evaluate the status of stellar astrophysics in Canada, figure out common interests, discuss the funding situation in Canada and eventually work out how information can flow better between our often separated communities. It is hoped that common research projects connecting these groups can be formulated and eventually a small scale coordination and research centre be formed.
